Halloween fun @ The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh

Tot Time: Costume Madness
Tuesday & Wednesday, October 23 & 24, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Wear your favorite costume and join a parade, decorate a paper bag with some colorful stickers and create art with vibrant foam paint. Tot Time classes are designed for children 18 months through 3 years and their caregivers. $5 for members, $6.25 for non-members. Admission to the Museum not included. Multiple class discounts available.

Member Spook-tacular Halloween Event
Friday, October 26; 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Every member of the family can enjoy this not-so-spooky night of fun.
  • Create black and orange art in the Studio
  • Meet a feathered friend from the National Aviary
  • Trick-or-treat throughout our museum by visiting our staff to receive prizes
  • Join a costume parade

Monster Pet Sewing (8+)
Saturday, October 27; 11:00am – 1:00pm
Join MAKESHOP Teaching Artists to make your very own pillow pet! Learn how to make a simple pattern, sew by hand or with a machine, add buttons and more. Then decide whether to make your monster scary or cute! This workshop is intended for children ages 8 and up. Registration is required; $5 per participant (a parent may accompany each child), Museum admission is not included. Space is limited. Email makeshop@pittsburghkids.org to register.

Experimental Costume Design
Saturday & Sunday, October 27 & 28; 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Bring a costume from home to explore techniques like screen printing on fabric, spray painting with stencils, and embellishment to change up your look, or just to make a new costume extra unique. Don’t have a costume you’d like to edit? Try out your ideas on some of ours, while supplies last.

Warhol and Children's Museum Steelers Tailgate Party @ Rosa Villa parking lot

Kick off the Steelers game at a tailgate party with the Warhol and Children's Museum at the Warhol's Rosa Villa parking lot, located adjacent to the museum on General Robinson Street. We Can! Monster Mash Costume Dance Party
Sunday, October 28; 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Wear your costume to the Monster Mash, and dance your heart out as we transform the Theater into a healthy dance club with family-friendly DJ Raw-Z!
Presented as part of the national We Can! program designed to help children maintain a healthy weight, organized by UPMC Health Plan in partnership with the Children's Museum, Children's Hospital, H.J. Heinz Co., Children's Community Pediatrics and the City of Pittsburgh.

Hours: Monday - Sunday: 10 am - 5 pm
Admission Prices: $12 for children 2-18 and senior citizens, $13 for adults. Children under two are free. For group rates, call (412) 322-5058, ext. 240.
All programs and events are free with Museum admission unless otherwise indicated.
Parking: $3 for members, $5 for non-members.On-street, metered parking is also available.
